This is where things are, currently. Another split, for technical reasons alone, isn't feasible. However: I'm speaking with Andrew, and other members of the early Social Sound Design community to come up with ways to make this better, and we've got some good ideas on the table that I'm going to be sharing in a separate post as soon as we all finish playing ...

There are: 5 math sections 2 animation Biblical analisys and various religious sections (why not merge them? Perhaps not...) 5 sections related to various game subjects 10 different computer and programming sections But sound should all be tossed into one?

This is already on topic here and I don't think a new proposal is needed. This was originally intended to cover all the audio side of avp which covered everything sound would cover. There has just been a lot of scope fighting between avp members and social sound design members so we are a bit spilt personality at the moment. Overall, I think the two areas ...

The functionality to do this already exists. Click on that Favorite tags button on the right hand side of the main Questions page. You'll get two boxes pop up, one that lets you add Favorite tags, and one that lets you add tags you want to ignore. Polls were considered in the earlier designs as something separate from questions, but weren't ever really explored. The problems we have with questions also apply to poles, namely, quite a bit of duplication. Polls also generally tend to have a very short useful shelf life before the options that everyone voted on are no longer really as relevant as they ...

Unless things have changed, I believe SE has a similar partnership with SoundCloud as they do with Imgur. It should also auto-format soundcloud links in to players. I do know that they did some SoundCloud specific stuff a while ago.

Because it is a beta. Beta sites don't get much in the way of graphic design and CSS work. When a site graduates from beta, SE staff go through and create a custom theme for it.

2

Because sites do not have MathJax enabled unless the demand is great enough (as it adds load.) We are nowhere near the usual threshold for SE to enable this.

I have checked and we can add another one. I'd suggest using wording similar to one of Music's close reasons: Questions about identifying or finding a particular sound effect from an audio or video file, are off-topic since they are rarely useful to future readers.

I'm not sure I understand the bit about attracting opinionated answers and spam. These seem like they would attract the least of this kind of thing possible since they have an extremely concrete answer vs more subjective questions that we would deal with outside of "how do you do x in software y" style questions. I also don't really agree that most of the ...
